If you are a newly-elected Bourbon County Precinct Representative, you are among the only Democrats in the county who can nominate and vote for those who will serve on the Bourbon County Democrats’ Executive Committee. You may nominate any registered Democrat between April 29 and May 10. You will be notified by an email from info@kydemocrats.org that explains the nominating procedure.
NOTE: Before nominating someone, be sure the person nominated is willing to serve. You may also nominate more than one person. Any Democrat interested in being nominated to serve on the Executive Committee should call current Executive Committee Chair Kathy Carter at 859-321-2350 or email kkcarter@aol.com.
On May 8, there will be a statewide virtual meeting. Voting by email for Executive Committee members will run from May 15 to May 18. Results will be posted on May 21. There must be an equal number of male and female members, and at least one must be 35 or younger. The Committee is made up of between 10 and 20 members.
The Chair and Vice-chair of the Executive Committee will be nominated May 23-24 and notified of their nomination on May 25. The newly elected Executive Committee will call a virtual meeting to elect the Chair and Vice-chair.
